MEMORY VERSE
Teach the memory verse to a puppet. After several attempts, have the children help him say it. Or can they say it faster than the puppet?
Write each word of the memory verse on large boxes and have the children stack the boxes in the correct order. You could also turn one box around at a time till all the words are hidden from sight.
Write the memory verse on a dry-erase board or chalkboard. Have the children repeat the scripture together, erasing one word at a time until all the words are gone.
Write the memory verse on paper and cut it into several sections. Fold and slide each piece into separate balloons. Blow up the balloons and tie. Have the children pop the balloons and put the verse in the correct order.
Write each word (or sections) of the memory verse on separate sheets of paper. Have the children put it in order by standing in the correct order. (See also Memory Verse Scramble/Skit)
Make a puzzle using a large sheet of 20" x 30" foam board. Write the memory verse in big bold letters and cut out each word (or sections) of the verse to make a puzzle to put together.
Have costume characters come to your class to teach, rap, or sing the memory verse. The options are endless with characters to help make scripture fun and memorable!
